WILLIAM GRANT DONATES CA$25K TO HELP CANADIAN BARTENDERS

Glenfiddich owner William Grant & Sons Has Pledged CA$25,000 (US$17,580) to the Bartenders Benevolent Fund to Support On-Trade Workers Across Canada During the Pandemic.

Created in 2013, the Bartenders Benevolent Fund is a non-profit financial resource for bartenders, servers and front-of-house support staff working in the hospitality industry in Canada.

“The work of the Bartenders Benevolent Fund is imperative during a time when hospitality workers and their families have been severely impacted by the current pandemic facing all Canadians,” said Beth-Anne Perry, country marketing director, William Grant & Sons.

“As leaders in the spirits business, we aim to inspire other companies to join William Grant & Sons in supporting Canadian workers in the hospitality industry.”

The contribution to the fund is part of William Grant & Sons’ new global initiative, Stand Fast Campaign, a relief effort to help the on-trade community in the immediate future and on an ongoing basis.

Through the campaign, William Grant has created the Stand Fast Fund, which will provide monetary support to the global on-trade industry.

The fund will be deployed through donations to industry-based charities, paid initiatives to employ hospitality workers for William Grant projects, and through ambassador, on-trade and sales and marketing teams that work with local organisations to make an impact.

William Grant will post activity from the campaign on Instagram using the hashtag #StandFast.
